Contrary to popular belief, the first day of the 21st Century is Monday, January 1, 2001, not January 1, 2000. This is due to the fact counting did not start for the current calendar in the year 0.

In the movie, ‘Star Wars’, during the scene in which Luke gets out of his X-wing fighter after blowing up the Death Star, he accidentally calls Princess Leia ‘Carrie’ (her real first name).
