Trivia of the Day for Sunday

Insects can shiver.

The red and white label on a Campbell’s Soup can comes from the colors of the Cornell University football team.

The cartoon character “Popeye” is immortalized in a statue in Crystal City, Texas.  Finding out where Crystal City, Texas is on a map is a trivia question in itself.

Until 1869, the M.A. degree from universities was an honorary award.

The “D” in D-Day stands for “Day” to reiterate its military importance.

    I believe the “D” in D-Day is for “Disembarkation”. That’s what was said on a recent trip to Normandy.
