Bonus Trivia

Why do eyes sometimes appear red in a flash photograph?

This occurs when a flash is aimed so that its light reflects off of the back of the eye and into the camera lens. The red you see in a photo is caused by the blood vessels in the retinal tissue on the back of the eye.
