Does a baby elephant suck with its trunk?
Nope. A baby elephant sucks with its mouth, not its trunk. Two teats between the forelegs of the female elephant supply the baby elephant with nourishment; as the baby elephant sucks it curls back its trunk.
It is a common mistake to imagine elephants drinking through their trunks: the use of the trunk in drinking is only by sucking up water and then squirting it into their mouths.
