Why do you sometimes see green tint on potato chips?

The green is chlorophyl that was produced when a portion of the potato grew aboveground and was exposed to sunlight. This exposure also caused the production of another substance called solanine, which can be toxic. I’ll bet that will make you think twice about eating Ruffles, huh?

Why are steering wheels on motor boats normally on the right-hand side of the boat?

The “rules of the nautical road” require power boats to yield to other vessels approaching from their right. In order to give the skipper of such a boat a clear view in this direction, steering wheels are traditionally placed on the right-hand side of the boat.
